Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Leave Nairobi in the morning and drive North to Samburu National Reserve on the south bank of the Uaso Nyiro River arriving at the Samburu Sopa Lodge for lunch and afternoon game drive. Samburu Reserve located North of the Equator is home to Elephant, black rhino, lion, buffalo and cheetah and antelopes among other wild animals. Cahnces abound for you to spot 'Samburu's Special Five' - Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk and Beisa Oryx. Another rare animal that can be spotted in this reserve is the African Hunting dog. Afternoon game drive will be followed by dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.
Day 2: Samburu
After breakfast, another day in this harshly beautiful terrain where wildlife abound especially nears the river which is their only source of drinking water. The Uaso Nyiro River flows gently through the dry landscape sustaining life in this harsh land. In the Afternoon you will set out on another game drive and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Samburu - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast leave Samburu for Nyahururu (Thompsons Falls) - named after the Scots explorer Joseph Thompson who was the first European to discover the falls in 1884. Leave Nyahururu and descend into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or Flamingo Hill Camp. An afternoon drive in the park to enjoy game viewing. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
After breakfast, drive to Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge, AA Amboseli Lodge or Mara Fisi Camp. Masai mara is “Kenya’s finest game reserve. The afternoon is spent on a game drive in search of the black manned lions which the park is famous, leopard in a tree enjoying the meal he has dragged up to avoid disturbance and detection. This reserve has hilly savanna, rolling grasslands, gallery forest on the Mara River and its tributaries. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Masai Mara
After breakfast, full day of game viewing with picnic lunch. Exploration this part of the Northern Serengeti Ecosystem where the great wildebeest migration takes place at the beginning of August. All meals and Overnight at the Lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha to arrive for lunch at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp, afternoon spent at leisure. Optional activities and excursions in Lake Naivasha include boat ride, walking safari on Crescent Island Sanctuary,
Walking/biking and Hell's Gatew Gorge Exploration safari at Hell's Gate National Park.
Day 7: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli
After breakfast, check out and drive to Amboseli National Park; the journey continuous south, passing through the Athi Plains where formerly the Burchell‟s zebra, the Masai giraffe and smaller herbivores roamed about freely. With human encroachment the wildlife is confined to game parks. Arrive in Amboseli National Park in the afternoon for lunch. After a short rest we go out for afternoon game viewing in the park at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft). Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Amboseli - Nairobi
After an early morning breakfast we check out ofur accommodation for game drive with chances of seeing Elephant, buffalo, zebra, eland, Masai giraffe and small species of the antelope family the common water buck, Grant’s gazelle and impala among others. Later leave the park and drive to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon.
